Tri-Tron

The left hand photo is a cut away of the Tri-Tron pulse-powered mineral precipitation device. The bottom is illuminated so the fine mineral precipitation that this device produces can be seen. When a charge is initiated into the water, nucleation sites are produced for calcium carbonate precipitation. The precipitated calcium carbonate as shown in the left hand view is a conglomeration of very fine calcium carbonate crystals. When these crystals are produced before the heat exchange device, the natural chemical reaction at the heat exchange device is switched due to the mass bulk precipitation of calcium carbonate before the heat exchange surface. This now allows the CO2 that is released with calcium carbonate production to convert the hard scale insoluble calcium carbonate into soluble bicarbonates and soluble calcium that will dissolve back into the water. When this happens, the fouling at the heat exchanger is removed from the surface, allowing a continuous clean thermal transfer surface that will produce increased thermal efficiencies.

Corrosion is controlled by running the water at very high scaling tendencies where the precipitation process is benign to depositing your system. The calcium that is precipitated is also re-dissolved by the water so the water cannot attack any other metallurgy. If by chance your water is very corrosive, it can be adjusted naturally to allow this process to work.
